Our walk with God is a lifelong process of becoming more like Him. It involves continuous growth, learning, and the pursuit of righteousness as we see in Jacob’s life. From deceitfully taking Esau’s blessing to seeking reconciliation with his brother, Jacob’s journey is filled with lessons on patience, perseverance, and humility. His encounter with God at Bethel marked a significant turning point, giving him renewed hope and direction that ultimately led to his new identity as Israel. By embracing humility, seeking reconciliation, and renewing our minds according to God’s word, we can take steps in the right direction and walk in the fullness of God’s calling, even in the face of our own struggles and failures.
