The Ant People, as they are known, sheltered the Hopi through two cataclysmic world events and taught them how to survive in the harsh Arizona environment while maintaining their commitment to protecting the land. In this episode of Greybeard’s Jewels: A Step into the Unknown, we explore the mysterious legend of the Ant People of the Grand Canyon. Are they simply a story, or is there something more to this myth?

today’s story comes to us from reddit user MPZ1968 and it’s called It Really Happened. If you like this story, please feel free to check out the author's other stories here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheMindOfMikey/ When I read this story it just spoke to me
although it wasn't a figure that attacked me personally, it was an object a cedar chest to be more precise and it pinned me up against the bed and closed the door to the room I was sleeping in. If it wasn't for my mother coming in there to check on me because the door was closed and physically pushing the cedar chest off my legs so I could move I really don't know what would have happened to me. so, like I said ...this story spoke to me. if you ever want me to do an episode of what all did happen to me when I was younger, leave me a comment, I don't talk about it cause like I said in the podcast it just sounds crazy to hear it spoke out loud to people. Well once again I thank reddit user MPZ1968 for letting us use his story for this podcast and don't forget to check out his reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/TheMindOfMikey/ and until we meet again stay safe, and I'll see you...In the Unknown.

If you were a Viking of the Norse, you would likely believe your fate was decided by a trio of mysterious beings called Norn's. In Norse mythology, the Norn's held complete control over every thread of life, intertwining them and snipping them short as they saw fit. Even the Norse gods were subject to the wills of the Norn's. Join Greybeard on this episode of Greybeard’s Jewels: A Step into the Unknown to explore the hidden world and workings of the Norn's below the tree of Yggdrasil.

In Alpine Folklore Krampus has been around before the pre christain era. The Catholic Church banned Krampus at one time, but with the spread out population and the alpine terrain the ban wasn't enforced easly and wasa rendered useless. Krampus traditions have started taking hold in North America lately and people have started to celebrate the Krampus ways. Yay!! Come listen in on the eve before St. Nichols day to the tradition of the Krampus, Maybe the kids should listen too incase they forgot to be good this year..
