In late 2018, former MLB pitcher Ryan Verdugo took the mound for his UniLion Baseball Clup in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), and did something that only 23 other men have ever done at the MLB level.
Ryan threw the first perfect game in CPBL league history, but, as the story of his career goes, was anything but conventional.
If you know baseball, you know how wild it is to throw nine perfect innings and not have the lead, and how confusing it would be to walk off after that inning. Its an incredible story.
