Journalist Jill Sainsbury meets the people behind the trails who set about to ensure that Overton is remembered in the Jane Austen story. Born just 2.5 miles away in Steventon, Jane Austen regularly came to the village to do her shopping, send letters and visit friends and family. Now the present day residents have created three fantastic trails to showcase the village and surrounding countryside they love which Jane Austen knew so well. Enjoy the sounds and stories of village life back in Jane Austen’s time and today.
