When Jon arrived in prison, he met a man named Gordon who had recently been transferred from Leavenworth Penitentiary in Kansas to their hospital prison in Minnesota. Gordon had done many terrible things when he was younger which led to him receiving a double lifetime prison sentence. He had also developed the belief that God could never forgive him for all of the horrific things he had done.
