In the summer of 1967, I was accepted by the National Science Foundation to attend a summer science program for high school students. But, things were changing. It was a great summer. I learned a lot, and started noticing more about the world than newspapers, National Geographic magazines and encyclopedias had shown me. Science was my passion, but there were things to come I had never imagined.
