The Surprising Saviour, Women and Children. In Part 2 of this series Ps Simon McIntyre unpacks how Jesus’s relationship with children was a surprise, and his relationship (way of relating) with women was a shock.  Without being patronising  Jesus elevated the status and value of women in ways surpassing and unheard of.  The gospel accounts are also revolutionary in showing God’s heart for children – often despised or ignored in that time.
