In this episode of The Web of Queer, we review the 4th Doctor story The Invasion of Time, and discuss romantic orientations and the split attraction model. For our review of The Invasion of Time, what did we think of the Time Lords, and how they were portrayed? What did we think of how Leela’s story was handled? Did we like the exploration of the inside of the Tardis? In our discussion, we talk about the split attraction model, and why separating sexual and romantic attraction is important. We discuss how this applies to asexual and aromantic people, as well as its broader applications for all identities. We also discuss the differences between behaviour and orientation.
