You can convert a long-form text post on Substack to a video post for promotion or other purposes, pretty easily.

This is how you do it.

Go to your Long-form post and follow these steps shown below.

Step 1: Go to the text post you want converted to video

Step 2: Go to the extreme right where the 3 dots show up

Step 3: Scroll down to ‘Get Share Images’ in the drop-dow

Step 4: Scroll down the screen to where it says ‘Share as a video’.

Step 5: It shows you how to select a chunk of text from your post, do that

Step 6: Block the text passage you need and click on ‘use this text’

Step 7: The menu now asks if you want to add a voiceover file or allow it to build an AI Voiceover. AI Voiceover is excellent. Check the attached sample file.

I haven’t tested the limit (I think it only does 30-second videos) for the promotion of the feature. You can use the downloaded video file to share with a link to the full post on YouTube Shorts or Instagram.

Those are the steps to follow. Pretty simple and easy. Try it and let me know what you think.
