Like many Americans, you probably have kids and/or grandkids that you would like to help with college planning. Navigating the world of scholarships, needs-based financial aid, the FAFSA form, school selection, etc. can be a daunting process.

Some college planners are nothing more than insurance salespeople in disguise seeking to use the complexity of the college planning process to sell you insurance and annuities that might not be in your best interests.
