This week we are privileged to have Jim Martin, Vice President of Spiritual Formation for IJM (International Justice Mission) as our guest speaker. Jim will share with us how God is working in new and miraculous ways, breaking down strongholds of evil on Lake Volta in Ghana. For decades hundreds of children have been forced to work as slaves in the fishing industry under masters who are vicious and brutal. What hope do the poor and powerless have when evil has the upper hand and government officials turn a blind eye? Perhaps the prophet Isaiah has a word for us: “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19a)
