You’ve probably been hearing me talk about FinCon in recent posts as I attended the conference in September in San Diego and made lots of new friends there. The community is designed to bring financial bloggers, podcasters and advisors together to learn, network and grow from one another. It is a spectacular event for a financial nerd like me
This year I had the opportunity to meet three financial ‘heros’ and I invited them to join me on the podcast to see what financial wisdom we could share with you. Each of these women started blogging to share their experiences with paying down debt and bringing greater mindfulness into their relationship with money which led to their meeting at FinCon and starting a podcast together.
During our conversation we talk about:
This is taken directly from the Financial Conversation website http://financialconversation.com/about-us/
Kayla is a mid-20s single girl living in Kansas, USA. She graduated from an in-state university with a little over $8,000 in student debt.
The rest of her $18,000 in consumer debt came from her compulsive shopping habit, and she also has a mortgage from the purchase of her first home.
She primarily blogs about getting out of debt, fighting her shopping temptations, and making money online.
Need a virtual assistant, freelance writer, or blog manager? Kayla is your girl.
Erin is originally from NY, but after moving to Charlotte, NC and Austin, TX, she has decided to make NJ her home – for now.
When she’s not working, she enjoys biking, walking, or hiking, playing video games with friends, reading, and drinking coffee.
Choncè – My Debt Epiphany
Choncè is a momma, newlywed, and 20-something mid-western girl who’s been on a journey to pay down her debt and enjoy life to it’s fullest along the way.
She started actively paying off her debt at the end of 2014 paid off more than $10,000 on a salary of less than $40,000/yr. In 2016, Choncè quit her job to be a full-time freelance writer and blogger and is continuing to work toward elimin-ating the remainder of her student loan balance and other debt she and her husband share within the next year.
Do you need a personal finance writer, ghostwriter, or editor? Choncè won’t disappoint.
