Credit expert Gerri Detweiler has been helping individuals find reliable answers to their credit questions for more than 20 years.  Today, she’s my guest and we’re talking about debt payoff and credit management and so much more.  We’re also sharing our own stories about downsizing and how that’s played out in our lives.
 
Gerri is Education Director for Nav, which provides business owners with simple tools to build strong business credit and financially healthy companies. Gerri’s been interviewed in more than 3000 news stories and answered over 10,000 credit questions online. Her articles have been widely syndicated, and she is the author or coauthor of five books, including Finance Your Own Business: Get on the Financing Fast Track. She has testified before Congress on consumer credit legislation. 
 
Gerri and her husband recently downsized to from a 2000 sq. foot house to 480 square feet.  WOW!  During our call, she shares what that transformation has been like for her and her family.

The Final Episode with Leisa Peterson
This is the final episode of The Art of Abundance podcast but it’s not an ending. It’s a new beginning! I’m starting a new podcast The Mindful Millionaire to complement the release of my book later this year.
So today I’m reviewing what I have learned over the years of hosting this podcast. 
I’ve been very blessed and would have never guessed that the podcast would grow to be what it has become. I look back and feel very proud of all the guests, all the coaching, all the knowledge and the impact that these interviews have had in my life and yours.

Choosing Financial Independence with Chris Mamula 

Chris Mamula is an expert on choosing financial independence. He used principles of traditional retirement planning, combined with creative lifestyle design, to retire from a career as a physical therapist at age 41. After poor experiences with the financial industry early in his professional life, he educated himself on investing and tax planning. Now he draws on his experience to write about wealth building, DIY investing, financial planning, early retirement, and lifestyle design at Can I Retire Yet? Chris’s writing has been featured in MarketWatch, Doughroller, Business Insider and RockStar Finance. He is also the primary author of the forthcoming book Choose FI: Your Blueprint to Financial Independence. 


Chris’s story begun when he and his wife made a plan to pay off her student debt while living solely on her income. After they successfully paid it off, they started to wonder if they needed a different strategy if they wanted to start a family. So he went down the financial learning rabbit hole and while it changed his life, he realized a lot of it didn’t resonate with him. His book, Choose FI, is the product of him wanting to give a different perspective.

My guest in this episode is Dr. Don Wood and we are discussing how to heal trauma fast. Dr. Wood is the founder of the Inspired Performance institute.
