03.22.2018 - By James Martell: Online Entrepreneur, Speaker and Podcaster
In the episode of the Affiliate Buzz, James Martell talks to Arlene about a quick, simple and inexpensive way for creating content that sells!
Most affiliates don't have a problem understanding the Affiliate Marketing business, but where they are lacking, is in content creation. Today we cannot just throw content together and hope for the best. It must be quality all while reducing the costs. If content is an area you are struggling with, this podcast will open your eyes to re-purposing existing content.
A Formula for Creating Content that Sells
Arlene talks about brainstorming with a client to come up with an foundational feature article, where they used tips that were really important for the reader to know. They talk about the amount of research that goes into it, the length of the article and handing it off to the writer. Once you have a system in place to do this, you will never look back or be short of content.
One Article Becomes 10 Killer Pieces of Content
James talks about how we use this foundational research from this one piece of content, and create content that can now be used on the website, a newsletter, on YouTube, as an ebook, a PowerPoint Presentation on SlideShare, a book on Amazon, as a podcast distributed to Spreaker, Stitcher, iTunes, ranking in Google, ranking in Google images and of course distributed through all social media.
The Structure That Bring It All Together
James and Arlene talk about the structure of the feature article, so it can be used as book chapters, bullet points in the info-graphic, sections in the powerpoint, the talking points in the podcast, the video breaks etc. They discuss the number of graphics that are needed, and what it costs to create the 10 types of content.
Monetizing
Every single peice of content that is created is designed with a call to action. Of course this content needs to sell, so they talk about how to encorporate the affiliate programs into the content, so a commission is paid. Arlene talks about the "best offers" page, where the client showcases ALL his offers in one page, so all the content created, lands the reader onto the page where they can make a purchase. All roads lead to the best offers page. The client is only going to need 2-3 sales to break even on the content, but the content will continue to sell for him for many years to come.
