When you see or find a pet wandering the streets, what do you think? Do you immediately jump to unwanted, abandoned or dumped? If you do, you are not alone, but you are also wrong most of the time. And sadly, this incorrect believe can affect your actions and ultimately the fate of the found pet. Think about it? You've heard this over and over and you've probably seen this over and over on social media posts. Too many people jump to these conclusions too quickly. These assumptions make them not want to try to find an owner.

Today Marilyn and I are going to talk about why these immediate assumptions hurt a pet’s chances of being reunited with the owner who loves them and is very likely frantically searching for them.
