Costello has inherited money from his Uncle Oscar. Abbott blows his lines and cannot pronounce "toothpaste." Costello buys a radio station with his inheritance. Guest Alan Ladd auditions for a job as an announcer. Ladd then does his version of an all-night disc jockey and joins in a day-time soap opera.
