Special Guest: Ashley Campbell a k-12 licensed Mild Intervention, Special Education Teacher, with a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis and endorsement in Autism

At just 30 years old Ashley, who has taught in Gary and Merrillville Schools shares her experience in the excitement she felt becoming an educator.

" Ashley excitedly says "I attended Thea Bowman located in Gary, Indiana I LOVED my teachers and because of them I too wanted to make a difference'!

However, with almost 10 years under her belt Ashley now is singing a new tune. One of sadness and frustration. When I asked Ashley if she could go back in time and pursue education as a career her answer was both truthful and astounding.

Ashley hesitantly said "No, and I never thought at 30 I'd be on indeed looking for a career change."

After this episode I have even more compassion for teachers, students and principals.
