In our "Abide" sermon series, we're studying the Gospel of John (chapters 13-17) and reorienting ourselves back to what it means to be a disciple of Jesus--a person who abides (S.T.A.Y.S.) with Jesus. This week in John 15:1-11, we find that a disciple of Jesus surrenders to Jesus.

1.) A disciple is an apprentice of Jesus who orients his life around three goals: to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. 

2.) You and I are already surrendered to something or someone!

3.) Your faith is defined by what you surrender to.
