English Sermon (09/06) – Abide in Christ (John 15:1-11)

The theme for this church year is: ABIDE IN CHRIST BEAR MUCH FRUIT. Today we will focus on the word ‘abide’; what does it mean to us and how does doing so look in our lives? Jesus says that He is the true vine and we are the branches and that we must abide in Him because apart from Him we can do nothing (v. 5). Just as the branch is attached to the vine, our relationship with God is essential, constant and connected in a loving relationship. That’s why we ought to choose Him above everything and anything else – all day everyday.
