John 15:1-8

Pruning plants is a crazy concept. You’d think that when you start chopping small branches off a flowering bush that it would hamper the bush’s growth. But the opposite happens. The pruned bush revives in the spring with even more flowers or more fruit than it did before! Our yards can teach us a thing or two about the ways our God revives us.

As we abide in Christ the vine we will have the care of God the Father, our gardener, and we will also have the life giving nutrients of our Savior; his grace. We simply will produce fruit as we remain in Christ the vine. Our good works will naturally show themselves through faith. Abide in your vine!
