This episode came from a comment someone shared with me about James 2 and the term, faith. The punch of James 2 is diminished if the intended original audience was not aware and in agreement that faith without works dead being alone. It is almost as if the Holy Spirit knew some of the issues Christians would face eventually and countered arguments before they were even made. All in all, it is a powerful and interesting chapter.
