My Journey

Dr. Robert James Goodman was born in the back seat of a 1957 Cadillac in 1957, in segregated rural Arkansas into an impoverished extended family of fourteen children.

 This book and website is about Dr. James journey as a black man, with dyslexia, from the cotton fields of Arkansas to San Francisco, California.

 Dr. James refused to accept society’s idea of his potential and learned to succeed despite what many would consider impossible odds. 

In 2023, Dr. James became an international bestselling book author.  Dr. James earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy in 1990 and a bachelor’s degree in Humanities in 1987.

For 22 years, Dr. James participated in research and development of man-woman relationship courses, your relationship with yourself and taught courses to the public.
