In today's episode, we discuss a topic that can be difficult to discuss, but one incredibly important to address: Child Sexual Abuse. Unfortunately, this is a topic that affects far too many children and families around the world. Our guest today under the pseudonym, "Ashley" tells us about her experience of being sexually abused by her 20 years old cousin when she was 8 years old.
We also brought in two experts in the field of Child Sexual Abuse, The first is Mrs Theresa Okperi a family and marriage counsellor and the convener of the Ministry of Reconciliation (MoR) NGO and the second is a medical practitioner and a Women and Girls Violation Activist - Oluchi. In discussing Ashley's story with these experts, we would be able to gain insights into the prevalence of child sexual abuse, the impact it has on victims and their families, and what we can do to prevent it from happening.
We needed to have this conversation, and we hope that by sharing our perspectives and insights, we can help raise awareness and promote a greater understanding of this critical issue.
