This week in our Heros of the Old Testament series, Gemma reflects on the extraordinary calling of Abraham, drawn from Genesis 12:1–9.

God tells Abraham to leave everything he knows—his country, his people, his family—and to set out to a place God will show him. No map. No final destination. Just trust.

Abraham’s journey begins with radical obedience. He says yes without knowing the full picture, showing us what it means to follow God even when the way forward is uncertain. His faith reminds us that God often calls us into the unknown so that He can lead us to something greater.
