What is abstract art?

Creating abstract art uses movement in line, color, shape, and markings. It does not have to be realistic, abstract art welcomes interruptation. What do you feel when you see it? The art work should invite you to tell your version of what it is. Colors and shape can stir up different emotions in people; which is why you see abstract work in galleries, lobby and high end establishments.
