You are a child of God and do not deserve to be abused. Don’t believe the lies. “Don’t put that jacket on my back.” There are people out there that will treat you well, deserving of love and respect. Do what you need to do, save money, find supportive organizations, or a friend that can come alongside you as you take that next step. You can be free from abuse, but you have to take the steps to get there. Nobody can do it for you. Find people that tell you things that will challenge you to think differently and act differently. The journey of growth and healing is a long one, but it is so worth it. You are worth it. Don’t let the pressure of society get you down by comparing yourself to others. Do what is right for you. Say a prayer to your heavenly Father to accept that gift and know more of Him. Hotline for domestic violence is 1-800-799-7233.
