When we talk about abuse, it comes in so many different forms, but all of them can take us to a place of doubting our value, doubting our self worth, and doubting what we bring to the table because of what has happened. I want you to know that I believe you and I believe that you can overcome the shame, the condemnation, and even the pain associated with what happened.
It may have happened at the hands of those we trusted, at the hands of those we loved, and at the hands of those that we believed should have had our best interests at heart. Forgiveness is a part of the journey, but even more than just forgiving, we have to learn to release ourselves in order to move forward. So I want you to take this opportunity and listen to my incredible conversation with Nneka Anderson. I'll see you on the other side.
