The Affordable Care Act open enrollment period for next year began on November 1st and runs until December 15. There is no longer a federal penalty for going without insurance, but if you want to get covered with a plan through the ACA Marketplace but don’t act by December 15 you will not be able to get 2020 coverage unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
