While South Africa has made significant strides in improving access to justice for its citizens, poverty remains an impediment to the access of justice for a number of people. Many people do not know the law and do not exercise their rights due to poverty-related lack of education and ignorance. This morning we will look at the "Access to Justice for the Poor". We will also discuss if the criminal justice system is biased against the poor and what efforts are being made to correct it....
