Accessibility Policy vs. Accessibility Statement: What's the Difference?

Listen Later

Kris Rivenburgh explains the difference between an accessibility statement and an accessibility policy and the core components and considerations for each document.

An accessibility statement is a public-facing document that states your organization's commitment to accessibility along with contact information for assistance / support and feedback.  An accessibility policy is an internal document that provides the framework for how your organization approaches accessibility.

Publishing an accessibility statement on your website is a best practice for ADA compliance.

Kris designed the ADA Compliance Course (ACC) as instructions you can give your team to fix the most commonly claimed issues in ADA website lawsuits. The ACC is really an SOP for your web team. Your team can get started in minutes at https://ADACompliance.net/.
