Accidental Axe Murder? Andrew Burfield - Katie Kenyon | True Crime UK
On 22 April 2022, Katie Kenyon's children apparently received texts from her.
But there was something not quite right about these messages.
She'd said she'd gone away to work on herself. One text read:
"This is the bravest thing I’ve ever had to do, I need to find some peace and sort my mind out.
So with the 6k Andy gave me to pay the debt off, I'm being free for a while until I figure all this s*** out."
You may notice that the word "while" is missing the H. Well, the family noticed that, and they also noticed in other parts of the text, Katie had mentioned the dog… but the dog's name was spelled wrong too.
Knowing something wasn't right, the family contacted the police straight away and reported Katie Kenyon missing.
They reported her missing to the police and went around to her ex-boyfriend Andrew Burfield's home.
