Last week, we looked at Unity in the Church, Is this Possible? We know that Jesus said that “with God, all things are possible” in Matthew 19:26, but often, we try to do things ourselves. When all of the church submits to Christ as their Head, there will be Unity.
Today, we will deal with a subject that seems on the surface to be diametrically opposed to Unity. I know that today’s message is an uncomfortable and potentially unwanted one. Even though all of us want others to be held accountable for their actions, not many want to be held accountable themselves. Take time this week to ponder 1 Corinthians 5:1-7.
Our message for today is titled: “Accountability to Build Up, Not Tear Down”
Our points will be:
Main Scripture: Galatians 2:11-21
Supporting Texts: Acts 10:13, James 2:9, Galatians 1:10, 2 Peter 3:9, Romans 6:23, Acts 15:10, Romans 3:20, Romans 4:8, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:23, Matthew 7:5, Romans 11:6, Hebrews 10:26, Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 15:5
