National Library Week in from April 23rd to April 29th. In celebration of libraries and librarians, Barbara Alvarez joins us to talk about her new book The Library’s Guide to Sexual and Reproductive Health Information. The book introduces the basic concept of sexual and reproductive health as a human right and Barbara argues that libraries have the responsibility to provide information to their patrons.

Barbara Alvarez is an instructor in Library and Information Science and a PhD student in Information Science at UW-Madison. She is a former librarian in Wisconsin and Illinois. Her new book is The Library’s Guide to Sexual and Reproductive Health Information.

Barbara will be participating in a poster presentation tomorrow, Wednesday, April 26th at the Capitol in the North Hearing Room from 2pm-4pm.
