Chris Esguerra, MD, MBA is a healthcare executive and physician entrepreneur based in Greater Los Angeles. He has over 11 years of experience promoting healthcare transformation and integrating social needs care into healthcare delivery for holistic health. Esguerra is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Health Plan of San Mateo, leading efforts to integrate health and social care, drive towards healthy and equitable outcomes, and improve overall resource stewardship. Previously, he served as Senior Medical Director at Blue Shield of California, overseeing primary care service transformation and supporting strategic healthcare integration and redesign.
