Episode 155 (15 Sep 2021): Achim Häger is a forest ecologist. He received his doctorate in forestry from the University of Goettingen. Achim is from Germany but lived 15 years in Costa Rica, where he taught undergraduate and graduate programs at the Organization for Tropical Studies, School for Field Studies, and the University of Costa Rica. Achim worked briefly as a consultant for the FAO in Mozambique before joining LUC in 2020. Achim's research is about the relationships between biological diversity and ecosystem services in forests and agroforestry systems. He is now researching similar relationships in dune ecosystems.
