As much as us podcasters claim to know about our topics, nobody knows a team better than the voice. The one who travels with them, gets to know the players, and be around them when the public may not be. And it’s with that in mind that we bring aboard today’s Across The Cavs guest.
Rafa Hernandez-Brito has long been one of the most recognizable voices in the sports world. He’s the only one to call the NBA Finals, World Series, Stanley Cup Final, and Super Bowl in Spanish. As a collective fandom, the Cleveland Cavaliers are very fortunate to have him on board.
We’re talking all things current Cavs, Marcus Morris, the team’s recent run, and being on the mic for some incredible moments in today’s edition.
And with Friday being Noche Latina in Cleveland and this being the first year ever with NBA games broadcast in Spanish on Telemundo… some very much due shoutouts.
Donovan Mitchell and Max Strus might be out, but the Cavs are continuing to persist, trying to hold down the #3 seed in the Eastern Conference.
LET’S GO.

When you talk Cleveland Cavaliers, Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland are generally the first two names that would come to mind. Injury season is still upon the Cavs, who remain without all of Dean Wade, Evan Mobley, and Max Strus. Tough as they are to see, injuries are still a big part of the game.
Jarrett Allen has mostly stepped up when called upon. But after a lackluster performance against Houston on Saturday, there is some added pressure to pick up victories.
If the postseason started today, the Wine & Golders would be meeting Indiana in the first round. They are no strangers to playoff get-togethers, and it would be quite the spectacle if this wound up being the battle.
On this night, the clutch play of Caris LeVert and Isaac Okoro, combined with some fantastic Georges Niang defense, was enough. Marcus Morris had himself a debut to remember. And down three starters and being plagued by a Darius Garland off-night, the visitors banded together and pulled it out.
Jeffrey Santa, co-host of The Cleveland Pulse is joining today as we look into the recent stretch by the Cavs, the Morris debut, the win tonight, and a few other topics too.
As always, it’s time to #LetEmKnow.

Donovan Mitchell returned. Darius Garland dominated. Sam Merrill looked alive again, and despite only three free-throw attempts, the Cleveland Cavaliers got the job done. They handled their business and are thriving once more.
A look at how they got it done, and why the Cavs matter so much to fans.
The night began with #TheLand playing some more impressive basketball. They took but three foul shots, but Donovan Mitchell’s return, combined with dominant Darius Garland and Sam Merrill having a career-night was enough to give them a 21-point victory.
There are always folks out there with differing opinions on which teams have the best and the worst jerseys. Luckily for those in Cleveland, the Cavaliers seem to have a firm grasp on how to make everything look fire. But in another universe, they have different uniforms.
The addition of the new, yearly city edition jerseys have inspired many folks to really hone in on trying to create new concepts. And so it is with that, following Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and the Pelicans taking an impressive drubbing fro the Cavs, that we introduce today’s guest.
You can find her @SarahKnowsBall on social, where she’s designing concept jerseys for all of Cleveland’s sports teams. We’re looking in at a few ideas for what the #LetEmKnow brigade could potentially rock.
Of course, the day may come where the team does in fact try to rebrand again, and the ideas are just floating around here.
Time to talk ball.

There is never a dull moment with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Whether watching from afar at home, or being in the arena, many will agree with this statement.
Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus, and Evan Mobley were not available. It seemed for a moment that Georges Niang might join them on the injured list. Thankfully he rebounded immediately and seemed to be okay. Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen looked like their All-Star selves, and they made sure to keep Anthony Edwards from impacting the game down the stretch.
Defense, clutch foul-shooting, and a genuine trust in one another is what propelled Cleveland to this win.
Being in attendance for this one made it a little extra special.
Let’s get into it.
It’s time to #LetEmKnow.
