Across the Pond with Rich & Soph

Serious Sunday & we are talking about gossip.... Can it ever be a good thing? Would you tell a loved one if you heard something about them? Is gossip just Chinese whispers?  The show does take a swerve to the left when Rich talks about Miracle whip but hey that's how we roll LOL. We do also give you the news update segment that we missed on Friday's show, sorry about that.  Don't forget to subscribe, like, follow, share & comment. Funday Friday & it's Easter weekend! So you know what today's topic is.... Yep Easter but not just any Easter, we are talking Easter food!! You know we are both foodies so we could talk about this subject 24/7 LOL.  Rich has no idea what a Hot Cross Bun is & Soph has an education on white gravy.  This weeks series reviews are: Rich - The Queen of the South on Netflix, he says its like a female gangster series & gives it a straight 5/5. Soph - The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on also on Netflix, a reality show the clue is in the title as to what its about. It got a 3/5 as Soph said this type of thing has been done before.  Don't forget to subscribe, like, follow, share & comment. Also find us at: www.acrossthepondwithrichandsoph.com

Today is serious Sunday & it is a very serious topic, one that we don't have all the answers to but definitely have an opinion on. Boris Johnson has said in the news this week that people who are transgender should not be allowed to take part in sports on the team they have transitioned to. We give our opinion on this & what we think. It's a very serious topic & we are sure there will be a number of different opinion on it so feel free to leave a comment.  We have an unexpected  & unwanted guest on Sophs side of the pond, but we keep it real as always LOL.  As always subscribe, like, comment, follow & share. Hello Funday Friday.... After the usual weekly update & news update we have decided to do a re-run on the random question picker. Using an online selector neither have any idea what the other will ask, in fact the person who's turn it is has no idea what question they are asking till its their turn!!  This weeks series reviews are - Rich = Van Helsing on Netflix; as Rich is a big vampire fan he loves it & gave it a 5/5. But did say it is nothing like the film. Soph = The Split on BBC (all episodes available on BBC iplayer); this is the 3rd season & Soph rates it 5/5, a must see. No vampires just romance, love & 'chick flick' stuff :)

Serious Sunday is here & we are back with Jay Reace for part 2 of Will Smith & that slap....!! We had a brief discussion on Fridays show about what happened at the Oscars as it was EVERYWHERE & we couldn't not mention it. However we have carried it over to today to discuss the more serious side of things - such as mental health & toxic relationships.  All 3 of us give our opinions & we discuss these in depth as we don't always all agree LOL; that's what makes a great discussion, right...?  Thank you to Jay Reace for agreeing to return & chopping it up with us :)

Funday Friday is back & it is JAM packed!! Kicking it off with the usual weekly update from ATP & the news update, we then change it up a little & welcome a guest. None other than our dear friend Jay Reace. He joins us to discuss the main story that's been on everyone's lips this week - the Will Smith slap at the oscars!! We take it in turns (or try to) to give our opinion on whether it was dealt with in the correct way but try not to get into it too much as this is also Sundays serious topic. The main event for today's show is trying out Jay Reace's vegan porkless pork rinds he so kindly sent us.... Safe to say Soph is defo not a fan, while Rich says its food so he will eat anything LOL. However everyone agreed Nacho cheese flavour were the better ones of a bad bunch.  Series review this week - Rich chose Life & Beth on Hulu, giving it a solid 5/5 saying he is a big fan. Soph went with season 3 of After Life on Netflix. While she LOVED 1 & 2, she said 3 left her feeling disappointed & gave it a 2/5.

Funday Friday is here & we are back!! It's been a whole 7 days, there was no serious Sunday as Soph was seriously ill! Both her & Alfie took a turn for the worst so we were unable to do the show. Rich made an executive decision saying that health & family come first.  So today we are having an over due catch up - talking about everything that's happened in our week, as well as some other bits. Usual weekly news update & of course our series reviews. This week Soph chose Bridgerton season 2 on Netflix. Giving it a solid 5/5 even though the Duke doesn't feature in this one! Rich reviews DMZ on  HBO Max & also gives it a glowing 5/5. He is really into his apocalyptic stuff at the min......  Don't forget you can subscribe, like, comment, follow & share us. Funday Friday & today we are talking all things Spring.... From flowers, to Spring cleaning. From Easter to the weather - do we do Spring differently ATP,  you will have to watch to find out.  Soph has been poorly most of the week & still isn't 100% but the show must go on. Thank goodness Rich does most of the talking on this one lol.  A usual weekly update on the weeks events & whats going on in the news, including celeb gossip. For the series review this week we both pick the same, & how could we not!! The new series of Top Boy is out & we are all over that, giving it a solid 10/10. It's on Netflix, if you don't know then get to know.  Don't forget you can subscribe, like, comment, follow & share. As well as catching us at:- www.acrossthepondwithrichandsoph.com

Serious Sunday & this is a serious topic! Privacy; we talk about all basis from social media to bank fraud to passwords. Some of which we don't agree on (surprise surprise lol) but for the majority we think its safe to say everyone would agree that safety is key.  A quick round up of our weekend events & the weather as Rich had snow so Soph is worried it will blow across the pond!  Don't forget you can subscribe, like, follow, comment & share.
