In the first chapter of Mark, we witness Jesus and his disciples acting with urgency. They acted immediately. Simon (Peter) and Andrew, his brother, left their business to follow Jesus, as did James and John, the sons of Zebedee, leaving their father's business to follow Jesus.

When Jesus instructs us to do something for him, we are to act immediately, for he understands the urgency of the task. Sometimes, He prompts us to share the gospel with others, and we are to act without delay, as He knows how urgently that person needs to hear about Him, whether for salvation or to return to Him.

Today, I encourage you to act promptly when God calls you to do something. He desires our obedience to His commands and promptings in our hearts. God wants to use us for His glory so that all may hear His gospel, the good news.
