James 3:13-18 we learn that true wisdom comes from God and is characterized by purity, peace, gentleness, mercy, good fruits, impartiality, and sincerity (vs. hypocrisy). Earthly, sensual, and devilish "wisdom" is linked to bitterness, envy, strife, confusion, and evil works.
