The Coronavirus pandemic is creating various issues around conducting anthropological and other sociological research involving access to spaces, people and communities. It has particularly impacted the possibilities of researching remote and vulnerable communities. One such group is the 'Kui' or 'Khond' female indigenous farmers in Orissa, India. In this episode, Bhavya Chitranshi, PhD candidate at the Institute for Culture and Society talks about methodological challenges in conducting community based action research with this community and the broader challenges of in-depth exploratory research amidst a pandemic.
