If I go to a therapist to help me work through my depression, and it takes therapist A 5 sessions to get me to an empowered place while it took therapist B 1 session, who did a better job? Who would get paid more financially?

If I'm an employer and employee A completed the project in 3 hours while employee B completed the project in 8 hours, is it fair to pay them by the hour?

If I'm writing a paper and I can coherently and definitively make my point using 1000 words, would a paper that uses 5000 words to make the same point be considered more or less challenging?
