The Indiana University Black Student Union is helping IU students of color better themselves and their community. The mission of BSU is to improve the quality of life for Black students in Bloomington, but members also learn to advocate for themselves. Chapter President Maurquis Willingham says this has helped him build confidence. He’s also proud that BSU has started going out into the community to do service projects on weekends.
