In this episode Bethany finishes with the fourth foundation of being Hard-wired to Hear which is that every believer is responsible to recognize and respond to God’s voice. It is not God’s responsibility to make sure we always ‘get’ it. It’s not His job to make sure we recognize His voice. He’s already created us with the capacity to identify His voice but we must train ourselves to recognize Him. This is our responsibility because God’s value is relationship with us, and one of the ways we practically learn to identify His voice is through intentionality. We must be active and not passive in our response. Just like Moses and the burning bush there are proverbial ‘burning bushes’ all around waiting to invite us into a conversation and an encounter with the Lord.
