Jesus tells us in the book of Matthew that ‘My sheep know my voice...” God would never require us to be responsible for something that we do not have capacity to fulfill. He would never require us to be responsible to recognize His voice if we were not already hard- wired to hear Him speak.

In this next section of Hardwired To Hear series, Bethany is transitioning from teaching on receiving God’s voice through what we see, to hearing God speak. This first dimension of external hearing trains us to be actively listening for His voice in the various ways He is speaking, rather than passively hearing. Matthew 11:15 says, ‘He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” The implication is that God is a communicating God and He is always speaking, but it is up to us to actively listen.
