Have you ever had a gut impression about someone you've just met? Or perhaps you've had a hunch, a spiritual awareness or a 'sixth-sense' about something where somehow you just 'know' information though there is no external prompt.

As we discovered in our external perceiving receptors, Jesus frequently would perceive the Pharisees thoughts and evil intents and then respond to them as if they had verbalized those thoughts out loud. Jesus was perceiving internally what was going on spiritually, by the Spirit of God within Him.

For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

I Corinthians 2:11-12

No one can know or perceive the thoughts of God except by the Spirit of God. One of the ways we can perceive what God is saying is to access what He is thinking. We can actually know God's thoughts! Why is that important? Because His thoughts are so much higher than ours, even higher than the heavens are from the earth. and the only way to access His higher-level thinking is through His Spirit. It's His Spirit in us which communicates to our spirit internally that allows us to perceive the best thoughts on the planet. You are hard-wired to know the thoughts of God.
