Kass Botts was looking for a way to get more involved in the community when she discovered that her employer, Hanapin Marketing, was interested in supporting her efforts through their policy of providing all of their employees with 8 hours of paid annual volunteer time. What Kass discovered in using that work benefit was her interest in doing something actionable for those experiencing homelessness would find a match in the services and opportunities at the Shalom Community Center. Now as a regular weekend volunteer on the hospitality desk, Kass has a greater appreciation for the daily hardships experienced by Shalom clients and for how she can be a part of their relief.
