The doctor Luke continues his narrative to Theophilos. He focused on Jesus in The Gospel of Luke. Now he focuses on the spread of the message of Jesus through His disciples from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and to the ends of the earth!
After 40 days of teaching them after the resurrection of the dead, Jesus ascends to the right hand of the Father where He rules over the Kingdom of God which is advancing life by life through faith, hope, and love.
Matthias is chosen as the replacement for Judas. We don't hear much about him after this, but church history tells us that he was one of those who traveled the world to proclaim the message of Jesus along with the rest of the apostles and the early church.
