* God wanted the gospel to go to the Gentiles and He wanted Peter to do it.

* How would He communicate to Peter?

* vs 9 - Peter went to pray.

* Prayer is always step one - talking and listening to God on a regular basis.

* vs 10 - Peter got hungry.

* He had a physical desire to eat.

* vs 11-13 - God showed him a new way to feed himself.

* God spoke through Peter’s physical appetite.

* He showed that His people were no longer just Jews, but ALL who believe.

* KEY - God will use our appetites to guild us if we are in the habit of following Him and communicating to Him on a regular basis.

* Two observations:

* 1) If your heart is to honor God, your appetite (what you want to do) will line up with His will.

* 2) If your heart is to honor God, your appetite will show you what to do - it will lead the way.

* God spoke through Peter’s appetite.

* Peter’s appetite led him, but he was actively listening for God in the process.
