King Jesus displays his power over the forces of evil as he continues to advance his gospel. Paul and Silas suffer greatly but walk away from Philippi with the church having been planted there. We are left with an awareness that we may suffer for the sake of the gospel and with a confidence that King Jesus has supreme authority. He is with us to the end of the age.
