Acts 2 – Short Summary

• The Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost, filling the believers

• The disciples speak in different languages so people from many nations can understand

• The crowd responds in two ways: some are amazed, others mock

• Peter the Apostle stands up and explains this is the fulfillment of prophecy

• He boldly preaches about Jesus Christ—His death, resurrection, and authority

• The people are convicted  and ask what to do

• Peter calls them to repent, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit

• About 3,000 people are saved and added to the church

• The early church lives in unity, generosity, teaching, fellowship, and prayer

• God continues to grow the church daily
